The 'Girl Gone Wild' star has scored her eight number with her latest release.
Madonna has scored her eighth number one album on the US Billboard 200 chart with her latest release 'MDNA'.
The 'Give Me All Your Luvin'' star's new record debuted at the top spot ahead of legendary star Lionel Ritchie's country collaborations record 'Tuskegee'.
The Queen of pop apparently shifted 359,000 copies of the album and is her fifth album which has gone straight in at number one on the chart.
Elsewhere on the rundown, Adele dropped one place to number three with her sophomore record '21' and Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection' rose to hit the number seven spot.
Meanwhile, Madonna features alongside the likes of Lady Gaga in TIME magazine's new list of the 100 greatest fashion icons.
