The 'Girl Gone Wild' star says she also wanted the 'Set Fire To The Rain' star to join her for the Super Bowl half time show.
Madonna has confessed that she would love to team up and record a song with Adele.
The 'Give Me All Your Luvin'' star told ITV's Daybreak that she had originally intended to try and incorporate the 'Someone Like You' star into her set for the Super Bowl half time show.
When asked if she would like to work with Adele, she admitted: "Yes, I would love to. I would love to meet her, I think she's brilliant, I love her."
She continued: "I wanted her to be in the Super Bowl with me, but I think she was having her throat problem or throat operation or something."
Earlier this year, the Queen of pop stood up for the BRIT And Grammy Award winning artist following comments from fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld who called the star "a little too fat".
Meanwhile, Madonna is set to head out on her new worldwide 'MDNA' tour in the summer and recently launched her first ever fragrance this past week called 'Truth Or Dare'.
