Macklemore & Ryan Lewis And Taylor Swift Lead American Music Awards 2013 Nominations

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the newly announced nominations list for this year's American Music Awards 2013.

The 'Thrift Shop' duo scored six nods in total in the announcement made today (10th October), while the likes of Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift and Rihanna all scored multiple nominations for the 2013 ceremony.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are nominated in categories including Artist Of The Year, Single Of The Year for 'Thrift Shop' and Favourite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist, fresh from their huge success this year with their album 'The Heist'.

'SexyBack' star Justin Timberlake also had a successful showing with nods for Favourite Male Pop/Rock Artist and Favourite Pop/Rock Album for 'The 20/20 Experience' among his five nominations in total.

Taylor Swift also scored five nods across categories like Artist Of The Year, Favourite Female Pop/Rock Artist and Favourite Female Country Artist, while Rihanna is up for several gongs.

Will.i.am and Kelly Clarkson announced today's nominations for the American Music Awards 2013, where they also confirmed that Miley Cyrus will be performing at the ceremony.

The American Music Awards 2013 takes place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on 24th November.
