Little Mix Star Perrie Edwards Says She And Boyfriend Zayn Malik Are "Best Friends"

The 'DNA' star has defended her relationship with the 'Little Things' singer.

Little Mix star Perrie Edwards says things are "all good" between her and One Direction's Zayn Malik, despite recent press coverage to the contrary.

The two young pop stars have faced growing tabloid speculation about their relationship over the past several months, but 'Wings' singer Perrie says their relationship is strong and that 'Kiss You' star Zayn is like her best friend.

"Things are all good," Perrie revealed to The Mirror this week. "We've all had to manage relationship in the band, dealing with it and making time for our boyfriends.

"Zayn is my best friend and I've seen more of him since we finished our tour, but it's hard as One Direction have been on tour as well," the girl band star explained. "But we went to The BRITs together last month and had a great time."

'Change Your Life' singer Perrie went on to say that she and her girl bandmates have learned to deal with people saying cruel things on Twitter and online in general.

"It's hard when fans say nasty things on Twitter but we are starting to build a thicker skin and are getting used to it," she added. "It comes with the territory and you have got to deal with it. A lot of 1D fans are our fans as well and most are very supportive of us."

Little Mix are set to release their brand new single 'How Ya Doin?' on 14th April, featuring US rapper Missy Elliott, while their debut album 'DNA' comes out in the US on 28th May.
