Leona Lewis won series 3 of the X Factor and went on to claim 2006's Christmas No. 1.
'A Moment like This' was downloaded 50,000 times within 30 minutes of being available online which at the time was record breaking.
It went on to become the UK's second biggest selling single of the year. Rather than rushing her debut album into the shops to capitalise on her X Factor fame, Leona put off releasing her debut album 'Spirit' until the following November. In retrospect, this looks like one of the smartest moves made by an X Factor winner. The time spent working with songwriters and producers created an fantastic album, 'Spirit' which got overwhelmingly positive reviews, strong sales and of course hit the number one spot in album charts. Leona second album '~Echo' was released in November 2009 and she's going from strength to strength.
