The 'Bad Romance' singer shocked fans on the social networking account this weekend.
Lady Gaga has shut down her Twitter account on a temporary basis as she continues work on her new album 'ARTPOP'.
The 'Marry The Night' singer surprised fans with the move as anticipation for a huge announcement draws in.
"This interface has been shutdown temporarily. Please check back for updates," reads the profile description with her image cover also removed.
Gaga has been busy working on her latest record for the past 12 months and teasing fans with details of the album for months.
She's previously announced that the record would be released as an interactive App and already hinted at an Autumn release date.
Producer Zedd also recently spoke of how "cool" the album was sounding and the "experimental" way in which they are recording.
Gaga also made her return to the stage to speak and sing at the New York Pride event at the end of last month.
