Katy Perry Climbs A Volcano As She Tries To Sort Out Her "Chakras" During Summer Off

The 'Wide Awake' singer jokes that she has been like the star of Eat, Pray, Love over the past week.

Katy Perry has been enjoying some down time for her summer off and shared a picture online of herself taking in the sunset on top of a volcano.

The 'Part Of Me' singer has reportedly gone soul searching and joked that she has been echoing the protagonist from Eat, Pray, Love after climbing an unknown mountain earlier today (19th September).

"I ate, I prayed, I climbed a volcano," Katy tweeted today, alongside a picture of herself at the summit.

The shot sees Katy standing at the peak with her arms outstretch towards the sun, while dressed in a pair of skinny leggings, a sweatshirt and a backpack, with her hair tied back for the hike.

Earlier this week Katy suggested she has been focusing on relaxation recently when she posted: "Getting some s**t out my chakra's! #eloquent."

Over the past several weeks Katy has been linked to US singer-songwriter John Mayer, after being pictured out on several dates around Los Angeles as well as sharing a trip to Las Vegas with friends.

Katy Perry has been starting work on the follow-up to her 2010 album 'Teenage Dream' this summer, and is set to release her 3D concert movie Part Of Me on 5th November after a cinematic release back in July.
