The 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)' star has been seeking advice from her former boyfriend on latest split.
Katy Perry has reportedly been soliciting advice from her former boyfriend Travie McCoy following the news of her planned divorce to Russell Brand.
The Gym Class Heroes star told the Daily Mirror that he will "always be there" for the 'I Kissed A Girl' singer because of their personal history.
"There will always be a connection between us. I'll always be there for her. When you've been in a relationship like ours, you will always make time for that person."
Travie admits that Katy was there through his own difficulties and he holds no ill feelings towards Katy on the circumstances in which they split up.
"Katy was there for me through my hard times when things were really bad. Life goes on. I have regrets about the way we ended. But there are no grudges any more between us. I'll always be there for her, she knows that."
The 'Cupid's Chokehold' star also went on to add that he didn't think Katy married too fast because you can't help how quickly you fall in love.
"Do I think she got married to Russell too fast? When you’re feeling it, you’re feeling it. You can’t help how you feel."
The best piece of advice that the rapper has been able to offer his former girlfriend is to stay clear of the internet.
"I've said to Katy stay away from the internet. It's the biggest mistake I made, and that's when things went sour with us," he added.
Meanwhile, Travie was recently joined by Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine for a duet of their track 'Stereo Hearts' on The Today show.
