Katy Perry Stars In 'The Sims 3: Show Time' Behind-The-Scenes Trailer - Video

The 'California Dreams' singer promotes the new PC game while performing her single 'Part Of Me'.

Katy Perry features in the brand new trailer for EA's new The Sims 3 expansion pack alongside a special behind-the-scenes clip showing the 'Teenage Dream' singer filming the TV spot.

The 'California Gurls' star serves as the mascot for The Sims 3: Show Time, which allows players to take their sim through the world of show business, and helped design several themed props and costumes for the expanded edition of the game.

The behind-the-scenes clip sees Katy discussing her own rise of fame, as well as revealing that the guitar she uses was her own first ever music instrument, while performing her hit single 'Part Of Me' in the brand new TV trailer.

The 'Firework' singer is currently preparing to start work on the follow-up to her 2010 sophomore release 'Teenage Dream'.

Katy recently said she is feeling "very inspired" about heading back into the recording studio, and has hinted that her third record will feature "darker" music than fans might expect.

The Sims 3: Show Time: Katy Perry Collector's Edition is due out in the UK on 9^th March.
