We won't be angry with you if you don't recognise Gretchen (real name Maria Odete Brito de Miranda) after watching Katy Perry's brand new 'Swish Swish' lyric video but that does mean it is time for a little education.

Gretchen has been dubbed the Brazilian GIF-Queen and it is pretty clear to see why. The 58 year old Internet sensation has been releasing fully fledged studio albums since 1979 but her most recent re-invention has seen her become an online-favourite for people after über-dramatic giffage.
