The 'Last Friday Night' singer says she is unable to attend the annual ceremony despite her numerous award nominations.
Katy Perry has confirmed she will not be appearing at the People's Choice Awards later this week.
The 'One That Got Away' singer was originally announced as part of the show's line-up after receiving seven nominations in total, but has now revealed she will no longer be present at the ceremony after all.
"Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the People's Choice Awards," Katy tweeted earlier today (9th January). "I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed! #KATYCATS."
On Saturday (7th January) the 'Teenage Dream' singer spoke out for the first time about her impending divorce from husband Russell Brand and told fans their comments had made her heart "happy again".
Katy also discussed press rumours surrounding news of the couple's split and urged fans not to believe any of the recent gossip.
The 38th People's Choice Awards will take place live at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday (11th January).
