Music mogul Simon Cowell says he would love to work with the stars and dismisses Beyonce and Mariah Carey rumours.
Katy Perry and Madonna could be set to take the vacant judging positions on the X Factor USA according to Simon Cowell.
During an interview with his ex Terri Seymour, the music mogul dismissed rumours linking the series with Mariah Carey, Beyonce and Sir Elton John and spoke about who could feature.
Speaking on US TV show Extra, he was asked about working with Madonna, to which he replied: "Yeh I think she'd be great. In terms of experience and success – brilliant."
Terri then asked about the 'I Kissed A Girl Singer', which Simon responded: "I worked with Katy once. I think she'd be fun because you know she's hard – in a good way. And she's feisty."
Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul left their positions on the show last month and Simon admitted the show's difficulties were down to his own estimations.
"It's only because I opened my big mouth and said we were going to get 20 million – if I hadn't have said that everyone would be saying this was a huge success," he said.
Meanwhile, Katy will make her live US TV return this weekend performing at the Grammy Awards on the same stage as Rihanna, Chris Brown and Coldplay.
