Katy Perry's Got Food Poisoning

The 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)' star has cancelled tour dates because of a dodgy tummy.

A statement from Katy Perry's promoter says "an attack of food poisoning leading to severe dehydration," has meant calling off a number of gigs.

"I apologize to my fans in Chicago and the Twin Cities for not being able to perform this weekend," Katy said.

"But I am going to return in a few weeks to give them the very best show ever!"

In the meantime Russell Brand's missus is taking time out to recover before returning for the rescheduled gigs later this summer.

"Thanks to everyone for all the love & light you're sending my way," Katy tweeted yesterday.

"I can't wait to get back on my cotton candy cloud to you... miss you. X"
