Katy Perry has confessed that she hopes to someday make an acoustic album.
The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer told The Sun that the record is something she has always wanted to create and is inspired by artists such as Patty Griffin.
"I've always wanted to make something like an acoustic record. My favourite record is Patty Griffin’s Flaming Red. I discovered it when I was in Nashville," she revealed.
"I definitely want to do a Patty Griffin-esque thing at some point. It's something that I’m really excited about because I know I can do it and I haven't really played that card yet."
Earlier this year, a country inspired track 'Bullet' was leaked online following her split from comedian Russell Brand and the American star has been teasing fans with details of the sound of her new album for the past couple of months.
The 'Firework' singer has previously confessed that the follow up to 'Teenage Dream' will contain much "darker music" and she wants to go "back to her roots".
