The 'Gold Digger' rapper says he hopes to be recognised and appreciated for his music when he eventually passes away.
Kanye West says he wants his eventual funeral to be attended by world leaders.
The 'All Of The Lights' rapper admits he needs to feel like his music has truly affected people before he dies.
"I was just thinking about my funeral a couple of days ago and thinking who would be at the funeral," Kanye said, in a recent tour diary. "The people I want to be there, I want to have, like, world leaders that were affected.
"Ones that say, 'Kanye gave me my first shot here. He told me to believe in myself and when I saw this, it made me feel like that.'"
He added: "I want to affect people like that if I pass away."
Canadian rapper Drake credited Kanye West and Andre 3000 with helping the rap industry get rid of its stereotypical "thuggish" image.
Kanye has been nominated for seven Grammy Awards at next year's ceremony, including three nods for his Jay-Z collaborative album 'Watch The Throne'.
