Kanye West upsets Britney fans

Kanye West's been doing some back-tracking after poking fun at Britney Spears.

Kanye's been on Twitter talking about the success of H.A.M, his collaboration with Jay-Z which is only No 2 on i-Tunes behind Britney's new one 'Hold It Against Me'

"Yo Britney," he tweeted. "I'm really happy for you and I'mma let you be #1, but me and Jay-Z single is one of the best songs of all time."

Britney fans were up in arms and started complaining. So Kayne added "LOL" to his pos and then decided it was better to remove it altogether.

The rapper later said, "On a serious note, I'm truly happy for Avril Lavigne and Britney Spears... No hate in 2011! I thought LOL signified a joke... I didn't get the 2011 LOL doesn't signify a joke anymore memo.”

It's been quite a week for Kanye - he's celebrated his recent album success with a $180,000 watch featuring his own face.
