Tributes have been pouring in after the Hollywood director jumped from a bridge in Los Angeles.
Justin Timberlake has lead the tributes from the music world after the news that British born Hollywood director Tony Scott died after reportedly jumping from a bridge in Los Angeles yesterday (19th August).
The 68 year-old star, and director of such films as Top Gun, True Romance and Man On Fire, fell 200 feet from the city's Vincent Thomas Bridge.
Taking to his Twitter account earlier today, the 'Sexy Back' singer offered his "prayers and condolences" to Scott's family – which include brother and fellow director Ridley Scott.
"So sad to hear the news about Tony Scott. His movies made growing up more fun for me. My prayers and condolences to the Scott family," he tweeted.
A suicide note was later found by authorities at the director's office, reports the Daily Telegraph.
Justin has made a stronger move into the world of film over recent films with a high-profile appearance in The Social Network and an upcoming starring role in the new Clint Eastwood featuring flick The Trouble With The Curve.
The singer is also filming alongside Ben Affleck in Runner, Runner after the pair were spotted shooting scenes in Puerto Rico last month.
Meanwhile, Justin is rumoured to have married Jessica Biel in a secret ceremony over this weekend.
