The 'Sexy Back' star wants to feel comfortable with whoever is put in charge of filming the upcoming blockbuster.
Justin Timberlake is getting closer to starring as Sir Elton John in a new biopic of the star according to the 'Rocket Man' singer's husband David Furnish.
The 'Cry Me A River' singer was rumoured to have been "seriously considering" the role although David has told E! Online that talks have been ongoing between the two singers and they are just waiting until they find the right director.
David said: "We're searching for a director. It's important we all share the same vision. Elton and Justin have had conversations about it. Justin also says he has to feel comfortable with the director and the director has to be comfortable with Justin. The chemistry is really important. There's no race to make this. We're just going to take the time to make it right."
The 'Candle In The Wind' star's life could also be turned into a musical according to the producer.
"We haven't ruled out a musical. But we just want to do the movie first."
Meanwhile, Justin is set to appear in the new Coen Brothers film 'Inside Llewyn Davis' where he plays a traveling folk singer.
