The 'Never Say Never' star achieves another impressive landmark on the social networking site.
Justin Bieber has officially passed the 16 million Twitter followers landmark.
The 'Baby' singer achieved the remarkable feat on New Year's Day and quickly took to his personal account to thank all his fans.
"2012 is going to be so good. #16millionbeliebers, and I can already tell this year will be as good if not better than 2011," he tweeted on Sunday (1st January).
Last night he also added a message simply posting: "all of you inspire me. #real"
The teen sensation reached 15 million followers back in November last year and remains second in the all time record of followers behind Lady Gaga.
The 'Born This Way' star is over a million followers ahead and has remained in the top position for over a year.
Meanwhile, both Justin and Gaga performed in New York's Times Square to celebrate the start of 2012.
The 'Misteltoe' singer also unveiled a new track with Jaden Smith called 'Happy New Year' at the start of the new year.
