Selena Gomez Blamed By Victoria's Secret Model Over Justin Bieber Date Rumours

The 'Love You Like A Love Song' star has been accused of causing rumours Justin and the model were dating.

Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin has blamed Selena Gomez for sparking last year's rumours that she had been out on a date with Justin Bieber, and insists that nothing went on between the pair.

Rumours emerged back in November 2012 that the 'Boyfriend' singer had been flirting with Barbara after the two were together after the Victoria's Secret fashion show, followed by widespread claims they then went on a date to watch the Lion King musical.

However Barbara has now spoken out about the rumours and insists they started because Justin's girlfriend Selena had retweeted the picture alongside a cryptic tweet that fans then picked up on.

"You know how the drama stared? Selena re-tweeted the picture," Barbara told The Sun this week. "I'm okay to talk about it because I know there's nothing.

"I wanted to meet him real bad, I watched his movie and I was like, 'He's such a cool kid I want to meet him'," Barbara recalled. "And then when I did at the Victoria's Secret show we met and of course we had a conversation and then I took the picture with him."

The Hungarian model went on to discuss the rumours about their Lion King musical date, insisting it had just been a group of friends watching the show together as a last minute thing.

"It was my sister's first time in New York and we so wanted to go to Broadway but there were no more tickets," the model explained. "I just came up and was telling him, and he was like, 'Well I can get you one'.

"His friends came, like six people and then me, my sister and agent. So friends," she added. "We didn't hang out, that's the funny part."

Justin and Selena split shortly after the controversy but reunited soon after, although recent reports suggest the young couple may now have ended things once again.

Justin Bieber returns with his new album 'Believe Acoustic' at the end of this month (29th January).
