The teen star's mother says her son has "always" had to do things his own way.
Justin Bieber's mum Pattie Mallette has defended her son over his recent press criticism and says she believes he will learn to "do the right thing".
The 'Beauty And A Beat' star's mother says she has always known her son is headstrong and likes to do things "his way" but doesn't worry or focus on what the next tabloid headline will be
"My son is not a public figure to me, he is my son," Pattie revealed to E! News, while discussing her brand new book Nowhere But Up. "I can't predict what's going to be in the headlines.
"Justin has always been someone who has to do things his way," she explained. "And I have to believe he will do the right thing and he will come out on top."

Justin Bieber is currently working on his brand new album and revealed this week that he has now put the "finishing touches" to his new single 'Heartbreaker'.
