A US radio DJ says fans should look out for a very different sound from the Canadian singer's new material.
Justin Bieber's highly anticipated new single 'Boyfriend' has been described as sounding similar to Justin Timberlake's music.
The 'Never Say Never' singer is preparing to launch his third studio album 'Believe' later this year, and will reportedly debut a more grown-up sound on the album's first cut next month.
"I just got a chance to hear the new Justin Bieber song 'Boyfriend'," US radio host Mick Lee said this week. "All I'm saying… is wow… so much different than his previous music.
"The best way to describe it is a mix of Justin Timberlake 'Sexy Back [and] N Sync 'Girlfriend'," he explained. "AND get this… he raps… best comparison is it sounds like Wait by the Ying Yang Twins."
'Boyfriend' was produced by 'Cooler Than Me' rapper Mike Posner, who has described the track as "hater-proof" and promises it shows off a new sound for the 18 year-old Canadian pop star.
Justin Bieber will officially release new single 'Boyfriend' on 26th March.
