The 'Never Say Never' singer says 'Boyfriend' is the perfect song to tease his new album.
Justin Bieber says 'Boyfriend' was the "perfect single" to lead off his upcoming third album 'Believe'.
The 'Mistletoe' singer says he selected the track as the album's lead single because he wanted to start with something "a little bit more mature".
"It was a really hard choice," Justin admitted to Ryan Seacrest yesterday (26th March). "We had so many songs, so many up-tempos we could have released, and I thought we should slow it down a little bit.
"I feel like every single that's dropping is [fas] and you can only take so much of that, so I wanted to do something a little different, slow it down," he explained. 'It's just something a little bit more mature but also something I think I'm ready for.
He added: I thought this was the perfect single, so that is why it was my first single."
Justin Bieber's new single 'Boyfriend' received its first play on Capital FM yesterday morning and is due to be officially released in the UK on 20th May.
