The star gave an emotional and powerful performance of 'I Will Always Love You' at the event in Los Angeles.
Jennifer Hudson paid tribute to Whitney Houston at the Grammy Awards 2012 tonight (12th February) by singing the late star's huge hit 'I Will Always Love You'.
Following a montage segment which featured pictures of musical artists and performers who had sadly passed away over the past year, Jennifer took to the stage under a spotlight in what made for a moving setting to accompany the show.
Jennifer gave a powerful performance and was treated to a round of applause mid way through the song.
At the climax she simply sang: "Whitney We Love You."
Earlier in the night, host LL Cool J began his speech with a prayer in memory of the late star.
Whitney was pronounced as dead yesterday (11th February) in her hotel room in Los Angeles.
Capital will be coming live from the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles throughout the night.
