The winner of this year's series has reached number one with his debut single release.
James Arthur has scored a number one on the Vodafone Big Top 40 with his debut winner's single 'Impossible'.
The X Factor UK 2012 champion released his cover of the Shontelle song this week and shot straight to number one on the chart earlier today (16th December).
James was the highest new entry of the week while will.i..am and Britney Spears' team-up 'Scream & Shout' is up two places to second place.
Rihanna scored the second highest new entry with her latest release from 'Unapologetic', a collaboration with Mikky Ekko called 'Stay', charting at number three.

Former Big Top 40 number one 'Locked Out Of Heaven' is at four, while Olly Murs rounds out the top five songs of the weekend with 'Troublemaker'.
One Direction were another new entry at 24 with their latest 'Take Me Home' release 'Kiss You' entering the chart.
The Vodafone Big Top 40 airs every Sunday with Rich and Kat from 4pm.
