The '11 Minutes video is dark but Halsey and YUNGBLUD are adorable in it...
Halsey and YUNGBLUD are having a bit of a moment right now. Halsey only released her debut album four years ago and, since then, the hit singer has broken multiple records. This year alone, she scored her first solo Number 1 single in the US ('Without Me') and topped US pop radio ('Eastside'). Meanwhile, YUNGBLUD is quickly making a name for himself as one of music's most exciting new acts.
With that in mind, it's no surprise that fans were excited to see the real life couple join forces on their very own song. Halsey and YUNGBLUD released '11 Minutes' on Valentine's Day and it features Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. The single itself isn't romantic, per say (it's about wanting a failed relationship back) but Halsey and YUNGBLUD have managed to put their romance in the video.
What does the '11 Minutes' video mean?
The '11 Minutes' video is directed by Colin Tilley and it actually puts an even darker spin on the single itself. The lyrics of the song could reference a break-up but the video is about a losing a lover to death. It gradually becomes clear that Halsey has died in a car accident and YUNGBLUD is trying to come to terms with it. It's emotional af and it's up there with both star's best work. We're obsessed.
The video explores the stages of grief and it is split into five parts: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance. In the video, YUNGBLUD relives the night of Halsey's death repeatedly but then in the 'acceptance' stage of the visual there are flashbacks of Halsey and YUNGBLUD dating and it's adorable. Seeing as they are together irl, it feels like a glimpse into their actual relationship
