"You're just not paying attention you whiny little baby." Halsey had the perfect response to an Instagram commenter who said she was using the rainbow Pride flag as "marketing".
Brands incorporating the Pride flag into their online and in-store marketing strategy has sparked an important conversation in recent years, but don't accuse Halsey of being part of that trend. The 24-year-old singer, who identifies as bisexual, recently called out a troll in her Instagram comments for suggesting that she was using the rainbow Pride flag as a "marketing strategy".

It all started when Halsey posted a photograph of herself holding up the rainbow flag with the caption: "bi gurl evolution."
One Instagram user chimed in with a not-so-positive comment. "Rainbow is the new marketing strategy," they wrote in response to the image.
Halsey had a clap back ready and let the person know that she'd actually featured the flag as part of her show for a number of years,
"There's been a flag in my show for 5 years," Halsey wrote. "You're just not paying attention you whiny little baby."

Halsey doesn't just trot out a rainbow flag in the month of June as "marketing". Anyone who has followed her career knows that she has written songs about both men and women, featured men and women as romantic interests in her music videos and publicly identified herself as a part of the LGBTQ+ community since she got her start.
Halsey's fans shared their support in her comment section. "We stan a bi gurl queen," wrote one. "We stand with you Ashley," another said. And, of course, there were plenty of rainbow emojis from fans.
