Halsey also praised Billie Eilish for making Grammys history and said that she was "sad" she didn't receive any nominations.
Halsey has criticised the Grammy Awards for snubbing BTS and not nominating the band in any of their categories this year.
Yesterday (Nov 21), the Grammys announced all of their 2020 nominations. Lizzo came out on top with eight nominations for her music including 'Truth Hurts' and her 2019 album Cuz I Love You. Meanwhile, Billie Eilish broke records as the youngest artist to ever be nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Best New Artist. Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello and Jonas Brothers also all earned nominations but some notable artists were left out.

Halsey didn't receive any for her Number 1 hit 'Without Me', nor did BTS, and now Halsey's speaking out about it.
Taking to Twitter, Halsey called out the Grammys for ignoring BTS and the US music industry at large. The 25-year-old wrote: "BTS deserved many nominations." She then added: "I am however, unsurprised that they weren’t acknowledged. the US is so far behind on the whole movement. the time will come."
Halsey collaborated with BTS in April on their US Top 10 single 'Boy With Luv'. With 78 million views, the video became YouTube's most viewed video in 24 hours ever.
After expressing her disappointment in BTS' lack of nominations, Halsey did take time to congratulate Billie Eilish on making history. She tweeted: "Ps super happy to see @billieeilish crushing it. I wish I had someone like her to look up to when I was growing up. she’s unstoppable." Billie later reposted the tweet on her own stories.
deleting and ignoring all negativity. BTS deserved many nominations. I am however, unsurprised that they weren’t acknowledged. the US is so far behind on the whole movement. the time will come.

Halsey also asked her fans not to get upset that she hadn't been nominated for anything. She wrote: "my fans please do not waste your anger or frustration. i see a lot of you are upset. of course im sad too. none of it matters. literally none of it." She continued: "you’re here. im here. + everything is gonna stay exactly the same and without me is still a super tight, record breaking song".
Halsey later tweeted: "congrats to the nominees. so much great music nominated this year. definitely see a lot of my friends and colleagues missing from the nom lists, but the music speaks! this is how it goes every year right?"
