The 'Close Enemies' rapper says people can only act like divas when they have had a lot of hit songs.
Example has hit out at Nicki Minaj over the recent fight between her and fellow American Idol judge Mariah Carey, and suggests no one will remember the 'Starships' rapper's music in a decade's time.
The 'Say Nothing' star was asked about the recent filmed altercation between the two panelists, which occurred during auditions in North Carolina at the start of last week, and said he feels Nicki has no right to behave like "a diva".
"I've met Minaj. I'm not a fan," Example told The Sun, when asked about the recent controversy. "I don't think you can be that much of a diva unless you've had loads of massive tunes.
"In ten years, people are going to be struggling to remember anything Minaj has done except her verse on 'Monster'," he added, referring to her guest spot on Kanye West's 2011 hit.

American Idol producers have since downplayed claims of a complete fall out between the two artists, despite Nicki Minaj continuing to attack Mariah on Twitter after the latter's interview with US journalist Barbara Walters.
Meanwhile, the 'We'll Be Coming Back' rapper yesterday (8th November) released the music video for his new single 'Close Enemies'.
Example will release 'Close Enemies' on 11th November with album 'The Evolution Of Man' following on 19th November.
