The rapper reveals that he was starstruck when he met the Olympian at secret The Stone Roses gig.
Example has revealed that he was lost for words when he met Team GB gold-medal winning star Jessica Ennis.
The 'Changed The Way You Kiss Me' star was introduced to Jessica, who triumphed in the women's heptathlon at London 2012, at a secret gig by The Stone Roses.
Example said meeting Jessica had been his "favourite moment of the Olympics" and that he was thrilled to wear her gold medal.
"I didn't know what to say. I'm usually so confident around women and in your face," he said. "It was the first time in five or six years where I've been really, really shy and didn't know what to do.
"Even when I met her [points at girlfriend] and she's gorgeous, I was like 'yeah how you doing'... I didn't know what to say to Jess, I was like 'so what have you eaten today'?"
He added to the Huffington Post: "I would swap all of my top tens and top 40s for one gold medal - you've got to work towards that for your whole life."
Jessica Ennis went into the Olympics as the face of Team GB and her win in the heptathlon is the biggest achievement of her career.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Capital FM, Example has revealed that he would be happy to have the opportunity to write a song for One Direction. The rapper and produced recently wrote The Wanted's 'Chasing The Sun'.
