The 'Close Enemies' rapper says the indie band's winning album is "seriously good".
Example has praised Alt-J after the indie band's triumph at the Mercury Prize in London last night (1st November).
The 'Breezeblocks' group won the album award for their debut album 'An Awesome Wave', which was released earlier this year.
The alternative album beat records by the likes of Plan B, The Maccabees and Django Django to take home the annual industry award.
On Twitter, Example praised 'An Awesome Wave' – but not before joking about a previous winner of the Mercury Prize, Speech Debelle.
Speaking at the ceremony last night, Alt-J said": "We might just thank everyone on team Alt-J who has ever made a difference." The former Leeds University students also thanked their parents for "not making us get jobs".
Meanwhile, Example is currently preparing to release his new album 'The Evolution Of Man', which features his new single 'Close Enemies'.
In an interview with Capital FM, Example's friend and collaborator Calvin Harris revealed that he had helped the rapper select which singles to release from the record.
It comes after Example told Capital FM last month that he had done the same for Calvin's new album '18 Months', which was released this week.
