The likes of Rita Ora, Ed Sheeran, Labrinth and Jessie J are all also up for awards this November.
Emeli Sande and Plan B are the frontrunners for this year's Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards after picking up five nominations each at the announcement ceremony this week.
The full nominations for the annual event were announced on Monday evening (17th September), and also saw artists ranging from Ed Sheeran to Labrinth nominated for gongs.
Emeli Sande scored five nominations following the success of her debut solo album 'Our Version Of Events' earlier this year, including Best Female, Best R&B/Soul Act, Best Album and Best Song for 'Next To Me'.
Rapper and actor Plan B is also a frontrunner going into this year's awards after being nominated across Best Male, Best Album for 'Ill Manors', Best Hip Hop/Grime Act and both Best Video and Best Song for his album's title track.
'Earthquake' rapper Labrinth also had a good night at the MOBOs 2012 nominations where he was honoured in four categories for his solo debut 'Electronic Earth', including Best Album, Best R&B/Soul Act and Best Male.

Rita Ora has also made an impact in 2012 with nods in Best Female, Best Video for her Tinie Tempah collaboration 'R.I.P.' and both Best Album and Best Newcomer.
The likes of Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Ne-Yo and Franke Ocean have all been nominated in the category for Best International Act.
This year's MOBO Awards are set to take place from Liverpool's Echo Arena on 3rd November.
