Emeli Sande Seen With Big Afro Hair In Old Picture From Before She Was Famous

The 'Daddy' singer is seen with a very different look to her current cropped 'do.

Emeli Sande is barely recognisable in a new picture that has emerged of the 'Clown' singer before she found fame in early 2012.

The Scottish singer-songwriter became a critical darling last year after the release of her debut 'Our Version Of Events', and has become well known for her trademark platinum blonde quiff.

However, in new pictures that emerged this week Emeli is seen sporting a large curly afro style back before she found fame as a solo artist.

The 26 year-old singer has worked as a songwriter for a number of years before going solo as a performing artist, and used to perform under her real name of Adele Sande, before instead adopting Emeli in the wake of the 'Rolling In the Deep' singer's success.

Last month saw the announcement that Emeli is up for two Ivor Novello awards at this year's ceremony, both for her 2012 hit song 'Next To Me'.

Emeli Sande's cover of the Beyonce hit 'Crazy In Love' was unveiled last week as part of the soundtrack to The Great Gatsby.
