The 'Next To Me' singer's debut album is now ahead of Adele's sophomore release in sales for 2012.
Emeli Sande's debuts solo album has overtaken Adele to become the biggest selling record of the year so far.
The Scottish singer-songwriter released debut 'Our Version Of Events' back in February this year, which has gone on to sell an estimated 660,000 copies, according to Music Week.
This means Emeli's album is now ahead of Adele's '21' in sales for 2012, with the 'Someone Like You' star's million selling album having sold 657,000 copies in the UK so far.
'Next To Me' singer Emeli has enjoyed a renewed sales surge of 'Our Version Of Events' since appearing at both the opening and closing ceremonies for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Emeli took to the stage at the Olympic Stadium at the opening ceremony to sing 'Abide By Me' before returning for two performances of 'Read All About It' at the closing ceremony earlier this month (12th August).

The 26 year-old's songs 'My Kind Of Love', 'Next To Me' and 'Abide With Me' all climbed up the singles charts significantly after her appearance.
Yesterday (30th August) Adele was forced to take to Twitter to deny tabloid claims she and boyfriend Simon Konecki had got married in secret earlier this week.
Emeli Sande is set to re-release 'Our Version Of Events' with several bonus tracks on 8th October.
