The UK singer opens up about the "strange life" of touring the world with her music.
Ellie Goulding says it can be a "strange life" out on the road on tour but claims supporting Bruno Mars on tour across the US is "way more chilled".
The 'I Need Your Love' singer joins Bruno on the road for his 'Moonshine Jungle' North American tour this month, and has opened up about tour life in a new interview.
"It's a very strange life, so it's really important that I've got my friends with me and I've got a really good band and I've got some comforts around me," Ellie told Billboard this week. "It's weird because my band now are my best friends, I've spent so much time with them.
"Because I've worked solidly for the last four years," Ellie explained. "Every single tour I've done has been different from the last.
"Some tours can be really tough and some, like this, can be really easy, cool and relaxed," she continued. "I've had tours that are really intense so it's nice to do a tour that's way more chilled and a bit fun."

The 'Anything Could Happen' singer then said she feels this summer tour has come at the perfect time, and promises an "exciting" year for her fans.
"I feel like I'm in such a good place at the moment and I've got an exciting year coming up," Ellie added. "I'm in this place that I can take seven weeks on a tour to chill and maybe do some writing. I think this came exactly at the right time. I've got a feeling it's going to be a good one."
Ellie Goulding is set to release new single 'Burn' on 11th August while she will re-release 'Halcyon' with new songs later this year.
