The 'Small Bump' singer gave a live show on the popular US breakfast series this week.
Ed Sheeran performed live on The Today Show in America this morning (12th June) to celebrate the stateside release of his debut album '+'.
The 'Lego House' star appeared on the NBC breakfast show today to perform his debut single 'The A Team', which is available to download in America for free this week on iTunes, and told the show's host he loves being able to travel as a musician.
"I mean, it's a good life to have to be honest," Ed explained. "I get to travel to beautiful countries, and get to see everything I wouldn't be able to see if I wasn't a musician."
When asked about the sudden influx of young UK singers making it big in the US over the past few years, Ed suggested there has always been an exchange of strong artists from both sides of the Atlantic.
"I don't think we ever left. We've always been here," he explained. "We trade acts all the time. They gave us Hendrix and we gave you The Beatles. We get Rihanna and you get Adele."
The 'Small Bump' singer was celebrating earlier today after learning that, upon its release in America this week, his debut album '+' has already topped the iTunes US chart.
Ed Sheeran travelled over to America this week fresh from performing live at Wembley Stadium in front of 80,000 fans for the Capital FM Summertime Ball 2012.
