Taylor Swift's Mum Buys Ed Sheeran A Present After He Fails To Win A Grammy

The 'Lego House' singer says the country star's mum is "lovely" and bought him a nice gift recently.

Ed Sheeran has revealed Taylor Swift's mum bought him a consolation prize after he missed out on winning his first Grammy Award this year.

The UK singer-songwriter was nominated for Song Of The Year at the Grammys 2013 for his US breakthrough hit 'The A Team', but lost out at February's awards ceremony.

Ed says, despite not winning an award, he still got his own 'Grammy' of sorts when the 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' singer's mum gave him a real life gramophone.

"She gave me a natural gramophone made out of wood," Ed revealed to the Daily Star this week. "It had no wires or anything, just a little slot where you put your iPhone.

"She gave it to me because I hadn't won the Grammy," the 'Lego House' singer explained. "She is lovely. She got me a scented candle as well."

US star Taylor was recently forced to deny recent press rumours that she and Ed are dating, insisting the two are just good friends who mostly talk about music.

Ed Sheeran joins Taylor Swift on the road for her 'Red' tour later this week when it launches in Omaha, Nebraska on 13th March, while his new album is expected to be released in early 2014.
