The 'A Team' singer says she is nothing like other US artists who seem to have a "douchebag pass".
Ed Sheeran has opened up about working with Taylor Swift recently and says she is a "really sound person" and was nice to everyone she met while they hung out together in America.
The 'Lego House' star and US star Taylor wrote a duet together called 'Everything Has Changed', for her new album 'Red', and Ed says he was completely surprised by how lovely the 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' singer was once they met up.
"Writing with Taylor Swift was cool, recording with her was cool," Ed revealed to SB.TV. "She's like a really sound person."
Ed said he believes some US pop singers get to a certain level where they are allowed to have a "douchebag pass", but says Taylor was nothing like he expected her to be.
"In England once you get to a certain point you kind of know everyone and everyone's relatively humble and cool," Ed explained. "But in America once you get to a certain level it's kind of like you get a douchebag pass. Like there are certain artists who are just allowed to be douches.
"Taylor Swift's one of those people who is the biggest selling female artist in the world right now, like her last record sold just as much as Adele's, which is pretty mental to think," the 'Small Bump' singer added. When I first met her I expected her to be one of these artists that is kind of allowed to have a douchebag pass, but she was just like the loveliest person that I've met."
Taylor recently revealed she cooked Ed Sheeran an apple pie during his stay with her while recording for 'Red', and said the two have become "fast friends" since their collaboration.
Both stars have been promoting and performing across the world in recent weeks, with Ed singing on The Ellen Show last week and Taylor performing on The X Factor UK last night (14th October).
