Ed Sheeran And Taylor Swift Rumoured To Be Dating Since BRIT Awards 2013?

New claims suggest the two friends have started a romantic relationship just weeks before Taylor's 'Red' tour.

Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift are rumoured to have moved their friendship to the next step after fresh reports claim the two want to give it a go as a couple.

The 'Lego House' singer is well known to be good friends with the US star, having collaborated on a song together last summer, and US reports this week suggest the couple previously dated in secret in spring 2012.

"We're good friends," Ed told The Sun this week, while a separate source claims their relationship has become more romantic since last week's BRIT Awards 2013.

"Taylor has always loved Ed to bits," they told the publication. "He's just an adorably sweet guy who makes her laugh and feel really confident.

"Harry had that irresistible bad boy thing but Taylor has realised she would rather give it a go with a guy who can make her happy on a different level."

"Taylor made it clear when they go off on tour she wants Ed to be her boyfriend," the source revealed. "He's thrilled as he always thought she's amazing.

"They've both vowed not to have a nasty break-up no matter what happens," they added.

According E! News, the two singer-songwriters spent the night together in Taylor's London hotel ahead of the BRITs 2013 last week, with Ed being seen leaving the venue the following morning in the same clothes as the day before.

The 'Lego House' singer has joked in the past that he doesn't think he's Taylor's "type", while the 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer split from One Direction star Harry Styles at the start of 2013.

Ed Sheeran is set to join Taylor Swift on her 'Red' tour across North America later this month.
