Another Record! Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’ Breaks 500 Million Spotify Streams

Ed’s done it again – he’s broken the record for the most-streamed song on Spotify with his hit ‘Thinking Out Loud’.

We’ve known Ed Sheeran was something special for a long time, but there will soon be no record our favourite ginger star hasn’t broken – he’s just claimed the title for the first song to break 500 million Spotify streams!

The news was revealed that Ed’s heartfelt ballad ‘Thinking Out Loud’ was the most-streamed song on the music streaming service, with over 19 million people listening to Ed’s music each month.

Overall, Ed’s songs have been streamed approximately 2.9 BILLION times and are on 38 million playlists. Woah.

Ed was pretty excited to break yet another record, and said, “Chuffed to hear that ‘Thinking Out Loud’ has had half a billion plays on Spotify. Being the first artist to hit that milestone is amazing.

“Thanks to all the people who use this as a wedding song, soundtrack to a date and as a way to woo someone into a Netflix and Chill situation." Naughty!
