Ed Sheeran Names Harry Styles As His Favourite One Direction Member

The 'A Team' star says curly haired Harry is his best friend out of the five-piece boy band.

Ed Sheeran has named Harry Styles as his favourite member of One Direction.

The 'Lego House' star, who is known to be good friends with the UK boy band, says 'Live While We're Young' singer Harry is the member he is closest to out of the five boys.

"Harry is the one I'm closest to," Ed revealed to People magazine this week. "I made friends with him before I knew who the band was."

The 'A Team' singer went on to discuss his close friendship with US star Taylor Swift, after the two collaborated on a track from her album 'Red'.

"We met just by being fans of each other and reaching out, then we just started hanging out," Ed explained. "We have the same kind of work ethic."

UK star Ed then joked about the constant media speculation about his relationship with Taylor and insisted the two musicians are just friends.

He added: "I don't know if I'm her type!"

Last week it was announced that Ed and music legend Elton John will perform a duet of one of his songs at next month's (10th February) Grammy Awards 2013, where Ed has been nominated for Song Of The Year.

Ed Sheeran is also set to support Taylor Swift on her 'Red' North American tour which kicks off in Omaha, Nebraska in mid-March.
