Ed Sheeran Recalls Sweaty Backstage Encounter With Katy Perry

The 'Lego House' singer explains how he "blew his chance" with the female pop star.
Ed Sheeran has revealed that he bumped into Katy Perry recently at one of his Canadian tour shows but was left annoyed after his sweating cost him a hug with the singer.
The 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You' star told The Sun how he met the female singer backstage after "storming" the gig.
"I played the set, stormed it, sweated a lot, got off stage and bumped into Katy Perry. I was like, 'All right Katy Perry, how are yo?'," he recalled. "She said, 'I came to your show and I love your album.
"'I was gonna give you a hug, but eeugh!' and went."
He added: "That was my chance ruined because I sweated so much."
Ed is currently preparing to head to the Grammy Awards 2013 next month and has recently been confirmed to perform on the night.
The ginger-haired singer will take to the stage with Sir Elton John for a performance of one of his own tracks.
Other performers on the night include Taylor Swift and Rihanna – who is rumoured to be dueting with Chris Brown on the night.
The Grammys 2013 take place live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on 10th February.
