The 'Lego House' star admits the 'Rocket Man' singer has told him to take his time around the country.
Ed Sheeran has admitted that Sir Elton John has offered him some advice on attempting to crack the American market.
The 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You' star told the Daily Star that the 'Candle In The Wind' star said he should enjoy the experience and take his time over the trip.
"Elton warned me to take my time," he confessed. "America is a big place so I'm in no rush. He's been great at giving me advice."
The star has headed back to the US following his performance at the Summertime Ball 2012 on Saturday (9th June) as he prepares to release his debut album '+' in North America.
The BRIT Award winning star recently returned from touring duties with Snow Patrol and will be heading back for his own headline tour later this year.
Ed performed in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium over the weekend at his biggest show to date playing alongside the likes of Justin Bieber, Usher and Katy Perry.
