The 'Lego House' singer has received the honour by the independently-recognised state.
Ed Sheeran has been named a Baron of Sealand by the independently-recognised state.
The state, which is an actual oil rig, was a former military platform and is located seven miles off the coast from Felixstowe.
The flame-haired singer took to his Twitter account to break the news and said it was an amazing feeling.
"A friend of a friend owns an oil rig that got made into a country legally, and called Sealand, which made him the king of Sealand...," he tweeted, adding: "Which means he can give out titles to people. So he's given me the title of Baron von Edward Sheeran. I am a Baron. Awesome s***."
The singer also uploaded a picture of the certificate he received from Sealand confirming his new honour.
The singer is also one of the most sought after artists in the business right now after friend Taylor Swift revealed stars such as Beyonce and Justin Bieber were queuing up to work with him.
He is also rumoured to have teamed up with teen titan Justin on the Canadian's new acoustic album
Ed will also be hoping to wing big at the Grammy Awards 2013 after his song 'The A Team' was shortlisted for Song Of The Year at the ceremony next year.
