Demi Lovato Says She Feels Comfortable Opening Up To Simon Cowell: "He's Really Cool"

The US singer-songwriter says she has told the Syco boss a lot of things that the public doesn't even know.

Demi Lovato says she feels she can really open up to fellow The X Factor USA judge Simon Cowell, and has described the music label boss as a "really cool guy".

The 'Heart Attack' singer, who has returned for a second season on the panel of the FOX series, says people's perception of the usually harsh judge don't reflect what he's really like as a person.

"Working with him is really great," Demi told The Sun, about the Syco head honcho. "He's a really, really cool guy, not what people expect, I think.

"He's not as mean as he comes across," the 20 year-old star explained, before revealing the two are "definitely" close.

"I've been able to tell him things I don't tell the public, about my personal experiences, my journey and what I've been through," Demi explained. "He's been really, really cool about everything.

"Way deep down there, he's a good guys," she added.

Despite the pair's close friendship Demi did admit that rumours about Simon's vanity and grooming habits are definitely true.

"Definitely! He wears his sunglasses indoors. It's funny, it's a part of who he is," Demi revealed. "He's always blowdrying his hair."

Last week Demi revealed to Capital FM that she is a big fan of UK girl band Little Mix, who's debut album is charting highly in the US since its release.
