Demi Lovato Starts Filming New Glee Role Alongside Co-Star Naya Rivera

The 'Made In The USA' star was pictured on the set of the popular TV show starting her role.

Demi Lovato has started filming her new role on hit FOX musical series Glee this week.

The 'Heart Attack' singer has signed on for a multi-episode arc on the popular TV series as a new character called Dani, who become a love interest for Naya Rivera's character Santana Lopez.

The character is a struggling musician in New York City who befriends Santana and Rachael Berry, portrayed by Lea Michele, and is set to recur in a number of episodes.

Naya shared a snap of herself and Demi on the set of Glee this week alongside the message: "Fancy. ddlovato. #goodside. #dantana?"

'Made In The USA' singer Demi herself tweeted to say how much fun she was having on set, positing the hashtag "#lovethiscast" alongside her message.

Glee is set to return for its fifth season in September, with Demi's first episode airing on 3rd October, though the show will go on hiatus after it's third episode.

The third episode of the season will deal with the death of major character Finn Hudson, following the real-life death of actor Cory Monteith this summer.
