The 'Paradise' star also has high praise for an album track from Mumford & Sons' latest record 'Babel'.
Coldplay's Chris Martin has taken to his Twitter account to hail Rihanna's new song 'Diamonds' as his new favourite track.
The 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' star made reference to his wife Gwyneth Paltrow's 40th birthday celebrations before speaking about the latest release from the Bajan star as well an album track from Mumford & Sons.
"OK this week: our favourite actress had a birthday, we danced to She's So Cold by the Stones...," he tweeted, before adding: "...and we got two new favourite songs to listen to: Mumford & Sons' fantastic Hopeless Wanderer and Rihanna's beautiful Diamonds. CM."
Rihanna's 'Diamonds' was the second highest new entry on this week's Vodafone Big Top 40 chart after it premiered last Wednesday (26th September).
Mumford & Sons are also expected to achieve one of the biggest weekly album sales of the year on this week's Billboard 200 chart with latest effort 'Babel'.
Coldplay were joined by Rihanna during their headline performance at the closing ceremony of the Paralympic Games in London this summer and have previously teamed-up for 'Princess Of China'.
Speaking to Capital at the Summertime Ball this year, Chris admitted he would love to work with the 'Talk That Talk' star once again.
Meanwhile, Coldplay recently confirmed details of a new live concert DVD taking from their 'Mylo Xyloto' world tour.
The film will be the band's first in nine years and is released on 19th November.
