The 'Paradise' star recalls a gig where he completely lost his stage confidence and nearly walked off.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has confessed that he almost walked off stage during one of the band's shows after he lost his confidence.
The 'Princess Of China' singer told Le Project Imagine that two songs into one of the group's show in Birmingham, he contemplated ended the show.
"Normally I have this self-confidence and stuff and it just left like a bird leaving," he confessed describing how suddenly quiet the venue became. "I wanted to leave the stage."
The star added that it was the emotional support of the group's drummer Will Champion which helped him through.
"I turned around to tell will and then I realised – whenever I feel insecure on stage – I always turn around to look at our drummer Will, who's very serious, he looks very serious on stage," he admitted. "But he really is like a rock."
Chris continued: "So I looked around to him and said 'I can't do it, I've got to leave' and he gave me this look – which I can't really put into words so well. But he has this way of looking at me like, it gives me this positive energy, and he does it a lot I realised.

"That was the moment where it was very clear how important he is in our group as an emotional anchor."
The pair spoke together as the lights came up for a moment and the show continued without further incident.

The band are currently on their 'Mylo Xyloto' world tour which will head to Toronto later this month.
The British stars have also announced plans to release a six part comic series based on the character Mylo Xyloto – who apparently shaped the sound and feel of their album of the same name.
