This Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato fan theory will blow your mind...
The 'Fall In Line' music video is here. The visual is no less remarkable. Set in a dystopian future akin to The Handmaid's Tale, it sees Demi and Christina captured as children and imprisoned by men. It then flashes forward to show Demi and Christina working together to escape the lab in which they are being held hostage. The video is like a film and it is worthy of acclaimed fiction like The Hunger Games.

Nevertheless, it appears that there are even deeper meanings to the video. Twitter user @demetriaaalove has come up with an extensive fan theory that the visuals reference the ways in which Demi and Christina were both ordered around by men as young Disney stars and it seems pretty legit.
The fan writes: "In the video you will notice that Christina is taken out of her cell to perform. The guards prop [Christina and Demi] up and stand by them as they perform and return them back to their cell." They then go on to add that these guards may represent "Disney directors" who forced Demi and Christina to act in certain ways as teenagers with little room for their own creative control.

The lyrics to the song prove the theory of them being controlled as well..

“I got a right to speak my mind
And I'm gonna pay for this

The song itself features lyrics which appear to address this. In the opening verse Christina sings: "You do not owe them // Your body and your soul" and in the second verse Demi adds: "You're more than flesh and bones".
Christina even opened up in a recent Billboard interview about how she wasn't able to express herself during her first album campaign: "I felt super label-driven and confined [being] commercially successful. And as great as it looks on the outside, I’m such a truth girl that if I’m not happy with something, I just can’t do it anymore."
Meanwhile, Demi has also spoken to Billboard about the drawbacks of child stardom: "We joked around that it was Disney High, except we all were shooting shows and really overworking. I joke that I sometimes have PTSD after leaving the channel, because if my schedule starts to get too busy, I rebel and I get bitchy..."
Taking all of this into consideration, it's incredibly moving to see Christina and Demi join forces to make this video. Tweeting about it Christina wrote: "Fall In Line is as much about supporting each other as it is about self-empowerment". Demi then added: "So proud to be a part of this powerful video. The message of women supporting each other through their struggles is so important to me".
Fall In Line is as much about supporting each other as it is about self-empowerment. I wanted to convey that in this video by visually representing the imprisonment that so many of us have felt, and the freedom we can achieve TOGETHER. https://t.co/APTCoP7Wf9 @ddlovato pic.twitter.com/XgQ4GpU8Rg

So proud to be a part of this powerful video. The message of women supporting each other through their struggles is so important to me, and director @lukegilford did a beautiful job bringing that concept to the screen.
