Extracts of an interview that Chris Brown conducted with MTV on the morning of his alleged confrontation with Drake at a New York nightclub this week have emerged online.
Spokespeople for both artists have come forward to reveal details of the incident with many gossip sites insinuating entourages for both artists came together in an altercation which left the 'With You' singer with a laceration to his chin.
However, Chris was full of praise for the Canadian on the same day as he opened up about their rapping styles and that of teen star Justin Bieber.
Speaking about his own style, he said: "I think the culture is starting to be very different and be [accepting of] diversity.
"You don't have to be the hardest of the hardest rapper or the toughest of the toughest guy to make a statement, as far as your music. So with Justin [Bieber] and me and you've got Drake and other people that rap that aren't the DMXs of the world — it's a different day."
